If your engine will not rev over 4000 rpm no matter what gear you put in it - chances are your rod clearance has opened up and next the rod bolts will loosen and boom - it will blow up. If you did not wreck the crank this is the replacement rod. Make sure to check your clearance and clean the crank journal before installing a new rod. Rod failure is also a result of the wrong type of oil.
