Description
Briggs & Stratton Animal race engine for oval kart racing.
Wait times on this engine can be anywhere from 10-15 days depending on time of year.
This is the orange cover animal oval kart engine, similar to the LO206 but no seals. This engine can be run on gasoline or alcohol. There is no gear box so it requires a clutch. It has no pull starter so it requires an external electric start. this starts as the Briggs 124332 8003-01 Engine,
Part Number 124332 80003-01, Displacement 204cc, Bore/stroke 2.6875" / 2.6885, Compression Ratio 8.5 to 1, Factory timing 29 Degrees.

We build each racing engine to spec per the class and organization you will be competing in. For this engine we will need your rule package and know the track you are running at. Every Krybaby Racing Engine is given 100% of what the rules allow – we build each engine to peak performance.
Once this is fired up you know you have entered another level of racing. The animal has been around for 23 years with basically the same architecture but the newer versions are faster.
This $680 engine is only produced a couple of times a year and comes with the crank for a clutch. The engine will be completely dissembled and every part weighted and measure checked before it is brought to the rule book specs. Out of the box its a good start and we add $300 in parts that will make it better. If you want to win this class it starts with no lifting and ends with the engine that can bring home the checkered flag.
Again in 2024 we brought engines to the rumble in Fort Wayne and our animal build was king of the hill winning all the features of the weekend and all the heat races too.
Its not the cheapest way to race but there is no other engine like it.
The sister engine is the Briggs Lo206 with the orange side over - almost exactly the same and often used when the animal is not available due to limited production. The orange side cover gives it away and takes a few more parts to convert it ( now have to buy a $150 dollar crank and a few other parts) but the outcome is exactly the same but with a higher cost.
Just like all our other engines, there is over 12 hours and more than a dozen modifications to bring this to a national level and we do all the work. This build will get plenty of custom parts from the improved top plate to the rear scatter strength plate, to the custom large breather system that will make this engine breath. it does not stop there, you will have zero deck and a head to the min and this engine will have some serious kick right from the rolling start.
When this engine is ordered you will get a phone call and we will discuss your class and goals because when you win we win.
Performance by Design. Briggs & Stratton Racing took the latest approaches in engineering, manufacturing, and testing to design for its dedicated racing engine from the ground up.
