This is the Quarter Midget World Formula Engine - the most powerful in the Briggs line up. This is almost one of the most expensive engines to build. The parts list is long and the parts are expensive. The engine is nearly $1000 and then you have to Add a splined crank to accept the gear box $165 and the gear box is no joke at over $300. Before you are done adding up the parts you are at just over $1700 and the built has not begun. The entire engine will come down to swap out the crank and add the gearbox and before it goes back together. The deck and head will be milled before cam inspection and 20 other points of inspection to bring you the most powerful race engine around. This engine can be built for Light World Formula or Heavy World Formula.
If you little racer is built for speed they will love the power. Because of the expense of these engines most clubs don't have enough cars for a class race. At regional races or nationals these are the king of the track and when you get 12 of them out there at once its like rolling thunder.
Briggs has been making these for many years so there are lots of old warn out ones at the tracks and they hold their value. We rebuild plenty of them but if you are serious about winning a brand new one will be king of the track.
